FRIED OYSTERS 
1 qt. select oysters
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. seasoned bread crumbs or corn meal

Drain oysters. Mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Dip oysters in egg mixture and roll in crumbs or corn meal. Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve immediately with slices of lemon and tartar sauce.
