SPANISH RICE | |
1/2 lb. Italian sausage or breakfast sausage 2 green peppers, diced 1 stalk celery, sliced 1 med. onion, diced 1 clove garlic, minced 1 (15 oz.) can spaghetti sauce with meat 1/2 c. water 2 c. cooked rice Slice sausage, saute in skillet, remove and drain. Add peppers, celery, onion, garlic and saute lightly. Return sausage to skillet. Add spaghetti sauce and water. Cover, cook 10 minutes. Combine sauce and rice. Place in 2-quart casserole. Bake covered in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Serves 4. I add a little dry onion soup mix and Hormel real bacon bits. Real good and easy to make. |
