FIG CAKE 
1 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. mashed fig preserves

Combine flour, sugar; add milk and blend. Add butter, vanilla, eggs and figs. Mix well. Pour into a greased 9 x 7 x 2 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes or until done. Cake will be a bit watery. Cut in squares while still warm.
