MRS. SMITH'S BLUE RIBBON BANANA
BREAD
 
1/2 c. butter-flavored Crisco
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. ripe bananas
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. milk

Beat together the Crisco, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Then add flour, salt, bananas, baking soda and milk. Pour into greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees. When bread starts to rise, lower temperature to 325 degrees. Check after 1 hour. May take another 15-20 minutes.
