BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES 
1/3 c. butter
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. broken walnuts

Melt butter. Stir in brown sugar, then egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Add to the sugar mixture. Add nuts. Stir thoroughly. Spread mixture into greased pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
