CHERRY COBBLER 
1 can unsweetened cherries
1 2/3 c. sugar
4 tbsp. butter
1 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt

Heat cherries with juice and 2/3 cup sugar. Melt butter in 9 x 9 inch pan. Mix remaining 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt. Pour batter on top of melted butter. Pour cherries and juice on top of batter. Do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned.
