SWEET - SOUR MEATBALLS 
5 slices dry bread
2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. grated onion
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/3 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten

SWEET-SOUR SAUCE:

1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomatoes
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. grated onion
10 gingersnaps, crushed

Meatballs: Cut bread in cubes. Soak in a little cold water until soft. Squeeze out water. Combine with remaining ingredients. Shape into balls the size of walnuts (1 1/2 inches); place in shallow pan and bake at 450 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Place balls in sweet-sour sauce for 10 minutes. Can be heated in a crock pot and kept warm for hours.

Sauce: Combine and heat to boiling.
