QUICK YEAST BREAD | |
1 yeast cake 3 tbsp. oil 1 beaten egg 3 c. flour (or more to make dough stiff) 1/3 c. lukewarm water 1 c. warm buttermilk 3/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. baking powder Mix all ingredients well. Roll and cut with biscuit cutter; let rise one hour. Bake in 400 degree oven until brown. Makes 15 biscuits. |
