PLAIN SWEET POTATO PIE 
1 1/2 c. sweet potatoes
1/2 level cup white sugar
1/3 level c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 level c. evaporated milk
1 lg. egg
5 level tablespoons French vanilla instant pudding mix
1 tbsp. vanilla

Cook sweet potatoes until done and beat with mixer until free of lumps; add remainder of ingredients and beat well. Pour into one 9 inch unbaked crust and bake in preheated oven at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, lower baking temperature to 350 degrees and continue cooking for 30 minutes.
