CHEESE AND ONION SQUARES 
1 (10 oz.) mild white Cheddar cheese - grated or finely shredded (Cracker Barrel cheese comes in a 10 oz. size)
1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped onions
1 1/2 c. Bisquick
1 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 lb. butter
Poppy seeds

Melt butter, reserve 2 tablespoons. Saute onions in butter until very tender or slightly browned. Mix Bisquick, milk and egg and add to onion. Add half of the cheese. Pour into 7 x 12 inch greased pan. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

Pour 2 tablespoons of butter on top of cheese and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Cool and cut into squares. Can be frozen. Just defrost and heat.
