SOS (MILITARY STYLE) 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 large yellow onion (diced small to medium)
1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes or (2 medium tomatoes diced with 1/2 cup water)
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/4 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
garlic powder, to taste

In a large frying pan, cook beef and onion. Drain excess oil (optional). Add rest of ingredients and simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes.

Serve over toast.
