SWEET POTATO BISCUITS | |
1/2 c. melted butter 3/4 c. cooked, mashed yams 1/2 c. milk 1 1/4 c. sifted flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar Beat the melted butter into the mashed yams, and stir in the milk. Sift the dry ingredients together into the yam mixture, and mix well. Place dough on a floured surface and pat it smooth. Roll it out 1/2 inch thick, and cut with a 2 inch cutter. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet, and bake in oven preheated to 450 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. |
