CHICKEN CACCIATORE 
4 slices of bacon, chopped
1/4 c. chopped onions
1 garlic clove
1 can sliced mushrooms
1 lg. can tomato sauce or tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
Sprinkling of oregano and basil
Pepper
3 lbs. cut up chicken
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 lb. spaghetti

Saute bacon in skillet until brown. Add onions, garlic and mushrooms. Cook until onions are tender. Stir in tomato sauce or tomatoes. Add salt, oregano, basil and pepper. Simmer about 10 minutes. Saute lightly floured chicken in oil until browned on all sides, add to the sauce and simmer about 40 minutes. Add a little water if necessary. Cook spaghetti as desired. Drain. Place chicken over spaghetti and serve.
