AMERICAN CRISP COOKIES | |
1 c. white sugar 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. oil 1 c. shortening (very soft) 1 egg, beaten 1 tbsp. buttermilk 3 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. corn flakes 1 c. oatmeal 1/2 c. coconut 1/2 to 1 c. nuts, chopped NOTE: Coconut and nuts are optional. Mix together in order given. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and flatten with fork. Bake until sides turn brown. Approximately 8 to 9 minutes at 350 degrees. Yield: 60 to 70 cookies. |
