CHESS PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. cream (evaporated milk)
2 eggs
3 tbsp. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter. Pour over lightly beaten eggs and sugar; mix well and add cornmeal, vanilla and cream. Pour into unbaked pie shell.

Bake in oven at 375°F for 30 to 40 minutes or test with toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
