PLAY DOUGH
2 c. flour
1 c. salt
1/2 c. cornstarch
1 tbsp. cream of tartar
2 tbsp. cooking oil

Stir and add 2 cups water (it will be lumpy, thick and hard to stir).

Stir and cook on medium heat - stir constantly. When thick, pour on counter and knead it when cool enough to handle. You can cut in sections and put cake coloring in it. Put in tight container. The kids love to use the cookie cutters when playing with this dough.

It is very creamy and doesn't stick in nails, etc.

This is a great playdough recipe. It was hard to stir, but worth it. I put the food color in the water before I added it to the dry ingredients.

I made this for my Great-Nephew who loves play dough. He was so surprised that I could make it. I made two colors by adding the color into the water. It didn't take too long for the colors to be mixed together as he played with it. Excellent recipe!
