FRUIT RICE PILAF | |
1 c. sliced carrots 3 tbsp. butter 1 c. sliced green onion 2 sm. apples, quartered, cored and sliced 3 c. hot cooked rice 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. seedless raisins 1 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds Saute carrots in butter in a large skillet until crisply tender, about 5 minutes. Add onion and apples; cook 5 minutes longer. Stir in rice, salt, pepper and raisins. Cook, stirring constantly, until rice is thoroughly heated. Add sesame seeds and toss lightly. Yield: 8 servings - 150 calories each. |
