LEFSA 
Have your wife cook a kettle of potatoes until done and mash, adding a large spoonful (or two) of shortening and a pinch of salt. Place in refrigerator. Chill until cold.

Clear everyone out of kitchen. Heat lefsa grill. Add enough flour to potatoes to make soft dough. Knead well. Roll out on floured counter until you have desired thickness. Bake on both sides. Place on clean dish towel and cover to keep moist. Turn pile over on regular basis. Cool completely. Enjoy with lots of butter and brown sugar and keep your wife happy by cleaning up at least part of the mess!
