BARBECUED SPARE RIBS 
4 lbs. lean pork spare ribs
1 c. grated onion
1 c. catsup
1 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. dry mustard
1 sm. tbsp. liquid smoke

Mix ingredients together for sauce. Cut ribs into serving size pieces. Salt and brown in skillet. Place in a large casserole, pour sauce over them. Cover and bake 2 hours at 350 degrees. (If more browning is needed, open casserole and bake 1/2 hour longer.)
