APPLE PIE FILLING 
5 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 c. cornstarch
10 c. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. nutmeg
Enough apples to fill 7 qt. jars

Peel and thinly slice enough apples to fill 7 quart jars tightly packed. Combine sugar, water, vanilla, and spices in a large pan. Cook until it reaches a full boil while stirring constantly. Fill packed apple jars, then place in a hot water bath for 20 minutes.
