GINGERBREAD COOKIES 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. molasses
3 tbsp. hot water

Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Blend well. Chill dough at least 1 hour before handling. Roll out dough on floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness. Use a ginger man cutter. Bake at 400 degrees ungreased sheet 8-10 minutes. Cool and decorate.
