MICROWAVE PEANUT BRITTLE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
2 c. raw peanuts
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

Put sugar, corn syrup, 1/2 cup water, salt, and peanuts in 2 quart micro-proof bowl. Cook on high for 5 minutes. Stir. Cook on high for 13-15 minutes or until syrup separates into threads at 300 degrees on candy thermometer. Stir in butter, soda, and vanilla just until light and bubbly. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Spread. Cool. Break into pieces. Makes 1 1/4 pounds.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
