BEST VANILLA ICE CREAM 
2 c. sugar
4 c. milk
4 (1/2 pts.) whipping cream
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. pure vanilla

Mix salt and sugar. Dissolve in bowl with milk and cream. Add vanilla. Chill. Then pour into freezer can and prepare according to your ice cream freezer directions. Yield: 1 gallon.
