BEEF STROGANOFF 
3 tbsp. butter
1 lg. onion
1 1/2-2 lbs. flank steak
1 tbsp. horseradish
1/2 c. water
2 bouillon cubes
1 14 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms or 2 (4 oz.) cans
1 c. sour cream

Saute onions and add fat from meat. Slice meat across grain into 1 inch strips, roll in flour, and brown on all sides in butter. Add remaining ingredients, except mushrooms and sour cream, and cook for 2 hours. Just before serving, add mushrooms and simmer. Add sour cream and thicken if needed.
