GINGERBREAD COOKIE WITH ICING 
5 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/8 c. water

ICING:

2 egg whites
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. lemon extract

Sift flour with soda, cloves, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Blend butter, sugars and molasses. Add sifted ingredients to butter mixture in thirds alternately with water. Bake at 350 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes.

ICING: Beat egg whites with whisk, add sugar and lemon until desired thickness.
