CHICKEN 'N DUMPLINGS 
Chicken, whole or 5 breasts
1/2 c. chicken broth
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. flour to work in
1 c. canned milk
1/2 c. butter

Boil chicken, debone and set aside. In large bowl add chicken broth, egg, flour and baking powder. Mix well. Work on clean counter, flour mixture with 1 1/2 cups (plus) flour. If sticky, add more flour, pull apart, roll out thin, cut strips and add to broth on stove, repeat. Cook dumplings for 45 minutes on medium. Turn on low, add canned milk and butter. Cook 5 to 10 minutes. Let set for 15 minutes before serving. Salt and pepper to taste
