PEANUT BUTTER CRISSCROSSES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. peanut butter
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. brown sugar

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla; stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Press with back of floured fork to make crisscross. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
