BRAN MUFFINS 
2 c. All-Bran cereal
2 sticks butter
3 c. buttermilk
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt

Raisins, dried fruit, apples, orange peel, or coconut may be added as desired.

1. Pour 2 cups boiling water over 2 cups All Bran cereal. Set aside.

2. Mix above with 1 cup butter and 3 cups buttermilk.

3. Sift 5 cups flour, 5 teaspoons soda and 2 teaspoons salt.

Combine #1, 2, 3. Cover and refrigerate. Fill muffin tins 2/3 - 3/4 full. Bake 400 degrees, 20 minutes. This recipe makes 1 gallon batter. For 1/2 gallon, cut recipe in half. Do NOT prepare this recipe in food processor. Muffins can be baked, any number you wish, any time you wish.
