2 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. butter
4 c. sliced apples
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. water

Place a layer of crumbs on a buttered baking dish. Dot with butter. Add sliced apples, sugar and spices. Then add more crumbs and water. Bake until apples are hot. Serve hot or cold with cream or a sauce. Bit-O-Sweden.
