UNCLE BOB'S HOT DOG CHILI 
2 lb. ground beef
1 pt. tomato juice
1 medium onion
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. paprika
dash of hot pepper flakes
1/4 basil leaf
salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. sugar

Mix ground beef with tomato juice; add onion and bay leaf. Bring to boil and cook until tomato juice is cooked off. Add balance of ingredients; simmer 1 hour. Drain off fat with a spoon. Add catsup and water to thin a little. May need more chili powder to your taste.

The secret to the taste of this chili is not browning and draining your ground beef!
