DATE-NUT SUNDAE SAUCE | |
1/2 c. chopped dates 1/2 c. dark corn syrup 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/4 c. water 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/4 c. chopped pecans Combine dates, corn syrup, brown sugar, water and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; continue to cook, stirring constantly, till mixture thickens (about 2 minutes). Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and pecans. Let cool.
