BARBECUE SAUCE 
3 cloves garlic (crushed)
3/4 c. white vinegar
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 c. dark molasses
1/4 c. water
2 tbsp. orange marmalade
1 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. ground mustard
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 small bay leaf

In a medium size saucepan, combine all ingredients, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes 2 cups. (Remove bay leaf.)
