1/2 c. peanut butter
1 1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, vanilla, and peanut butter. Beat well. Mix in flour, soda, and salt. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
