POPCORN BALLS 
1/2 lb. popcorn, air popped is best
2/3 c. corn syrup
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. boiling water
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. melted butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. baking soda

Put popcorn in large pan. Combine sugar, corn syrup, water and vinegar. Heat to boiling. Add cream of tartar. Boil to soft crack. Remove from heat. Add butter, baking soda and vanilla. Pour over corn, make balls. Have a bowl of cold water close to put hands in to help form balls.
