BARBECUED MEATLOAF | |
1 1/2 lb. lean ground meat 1 c. soft bread crumbs 2 sm. onions, diced 1 egg, beaten or Egg Beaters 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce, divided 3 tbsp. brown sugar 3 tbsp. vinegar 2 tbsp. prepared mustard 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Combine first 6 ingredients. Add 1/2 cup tomato sauce and stir well. Shape into a 12 x 7 inch loaf. Place on a lightly greased pan for the oven. Combine remaining tomato sauce and other ingredients in a saucepan; stir well. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat, simmer about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside. Bake meatloaf at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours, basting with barbecue sauce the last 30 minutes of baking. Serve with remaining sauce. 6 servings. Easy. |
