JAN'S CHERRY DEVILICIOUS CAKE 
1 pkg. Red Devil's food cake mix (your choice)

Prepare cake according to package directions and pour into well-greased 10-inch tube pan or Bundt pan.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan 10 minutes and remove to cooling rack.

CREAM CHEESE FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 env. Dream Whip topping mix (or 8 oz. Cool Whip)

In mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and milk until fluffy. Prepare topping mix according to package directions and fold into cream cheese mixture. Chill.

CHERRY SAUCE:

1 (16 oz.) can dark sweet cherries in syrup (about 2 cups)
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup burgundy

Drain cherries, reserving syrup. In small saucepan, combine cornstarch and sugar, mixing well. Gradually stir in cherry syrup and water. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Stir in cherries; heat through. Remove from heat and stir in burgundy.

Spoon cheese mixture into center of cake. Top with some of the cherry sauce. Slice cake and serve with additional cherry sauce.
