MAN CAMP CABBAGE
3 cups diced potatoes
1 large chopped onion
1 can whole kernel corn
5 German or Polish sausages (cut to 1 inch length)
1 large head chopped cabbage
1 pint heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons flour
1/3 package bacon

In a large roasting pan layer diced potatoes, 1/3 head chopped cabbage, sausages chopped in 1 inch pieces, 1/3 head chopped cabbage, 1/2 chopped onion, whole kernel corn, 1/2 chopped onion, and lastly, 1/3 head of chopped cabbage.

Mix 2 tablespoons of flour with whipping cream and pour over cabbage. Spread out bacon over the top, cover and cook at 350°F for 2 hours.

Complete meal for 6 to 8 men, and they will smile from ear to ear. We cook it in a cast iron kettle either hanging over a wood fire, or using charcoal. It cooks just as easily in the oven.
