CHOCOLATE DROP COOKIES 
1 egg, beaten
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 (1 oz. ea.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 2/3 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. walnuts

Beat egg until light, add sugar and mix well. Add vanilla or almond extract, then butter which has been melted together with chocolate. Blend well. Sift flour with salt and baking soda and add alternately with milk, add walnuts. Drop small portions on greased baking sheet, 2-inches apart. Bake in 350°F oven for 10-12 minutes.
