1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. M & M's

Mix shortening and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients. Add to mixture. Mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup M&M'S®. Drop from teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate the top of cookies with rest of M & M's. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
