1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

GLAZE TOPPING:

2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
4 tbsp. milk
Food coloring

Mix together and put on top of cool cookies.

Mix sugars, shortening and eggs. Add the rest. Roll out on floured surface and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes. (No need to refrigerate dough.)
