WISCONSIN CHEDDAR CHOWDER | |
2 c. diced potatoes 1 c. sliced carrots 1 c. sliced celery 1/4 c. chopped onions 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. flour 2 c. milk 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cracker Barrel Sharp cheddar cheese 1 c. cubed cooked ham Add water to vegetables, just to cover. Add salt and pepper, cover and simmer 10 minutes. (A little longer for softer vegetables). Make white sauce with butter, flour, and milk. Add cheese and stir until melted. Add ham and undrained vegetables. Heat, but do not boil. |
