CHICKEN WINGS 
3 lbs. chicken wings
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. lemon juice
1/4 c. soy sauce

Separate wings into two sections (discard wing tips). Place in a single layer on rack in broiler pan. Bake in hot oven, 400 degrees for 30 minutes, turning once. Make a sauce from remaining ingredients. After wings have baked 30 minutes brush lemon-soy sauce mixture on them. Continue baking, turning and brushing several times for an additional 30 minutes or until richly glazed. Serves 12 to 15.
