BUTTER TOFFEE (CRUNCHY) | |
1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. water 1/2 c. butter Combine and cook to light crack stage (285 degrees). Remove from stove; add 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Pour onto well-buttered cookie sheet. Cool some. Melt 5 Hershey candy bars on top; after a few minutes, spread evenly on candy. Sprinkle 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans on top. Repeat on other side (optional). When completely cool, break into pieces. |
