PICANTE SAUCE 
9 to 10 lg. ripe tomatoes
1 lg. onion
1 sm. carrot, sliced
1/2 finely copped jalapeno pepper
1/2 c. finely chopped chili peppers
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tbsp. pickling salt
1 tbsp. garlic powder

Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes. Pour into jars and process 15 minutes in boiling water bath.
