1 c. sugar
1 c. mayonnaise
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda powder
2 tsp. baking cocoa
1/8 tsp.salt
1 c. water
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar and mayonnaise in mixer bowl, beat until smooth. Mix flour, soda, cocoa, and salt in bowl. Add to mayonnaise mixture alternately with water, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla. Beat for 1 minute.

Spoon into greased and floured cake pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool on wire rack. Garnish or frost as desired. May add chocolate chips if desired. Makes 15 servings.
