APPLE STRUDEL 
4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
5-6 apples, pared and sliced
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine first 3 ingredients in a bowl; cut in butter with 2 knives to look like pie dough. Add eggs; mix well. Chill.

Spread 3/4 of dough in bottom of 10x15 pan. Place apples over top. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over top of apples. Press or roll remaining dough flat and cut into strips. Arrange in criss-cross over apples. Bake 40-45 minutes. Glaze with 1/2 cup powdered sugar mixed with lemon juice and almond extract.
