CHICKEN PAPRIKASH | |
2 lbs. chicken pieces 1 tsp. paprika Salt & pepper to taste 1 to 2 tbsp. butter 1 sm. onion, chopped 3 to 4 c. water 1 c. dairy sour cream 1 tbsp. flour or little more A simplified version. Sprinkle chicken pieces with paprika, salt and pepper. Brown slowly in large skillet with butter. Add water and onion. Cover and simmer until tender. Remove chicken to platter and keep warm. Combine sour cream and flour. Stir into juices in the skillet. Heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Do not allow to boil. Serve over the chicken. Serve with cooked noodles or dumplings. |
