POOR MAN'S LOBSTER | |
2 c. water 1 1/2 tbsp. vinegar 1/4 tsp. salt or to taste 1 tsp. seafood seasoning 1 tsp. celery seed 1 lb. monkfish Combine first 5 ingredients in large saucepan; bring to a boil. Add fish; lower heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Drain fish and arrange in a baking pan; put under broiler for just 3 to 4 minutes until fish is slightly dry (do not brown). Cut into serving pieces; remove fish to serving dish and serve with hot melted butter. (The taste is as good as lobster when each bite is dipped in hot butter.) |
