WHITE FRUIT CAKE 
1 lb. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
6 eggs, separated
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 lb. white raisins
4 c. nuts
1 c. wine (soak in wine overnight)

Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks and flour. Add nuts and fruit that has been floured. Add egg whites that have been stiffly beaten and fold into batter.

Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 3 hours at 225 degrees.
