ORIENTAL SALAD (CABBAGE) 
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. oil
Dash of soy sauce
1 pkg. Top Ramen soup mix
1 sm. head cabbage
1/2 c. slivered almonds
2 tbsp. sesame seeds
Ramen noodles, uncooked

Mix sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar, soy sauce, oil and Ramen soup base. Add cabbage to sauce and marinate overnight. (Could add carrots, celery, green pepper, etc.)

Toast sesame seed, almonds and Ramen noodles (break up) in 1 tablespoon oil. (Add sesame seeds last as they toast rapidly and "pop".) Add to cabbage. (For an added touch, add a can of tiny shrimp, water chestnuts, frozen peas, etc.)
